Captains Raymond and Jennifer Erickson-King

Captains Erickson-King's moving to Denver, Colorado

Wednesday, June 17, 2009

Captains Raymond and Jennifer Erickson-King (pictured above) will be transferring to Denver, Colorado (Intermountain Division) as Divisional Youth Secretaries on July 1, 2009. During their two years in Merced, California, they have been very active in the community by participating in Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, and other various nonprofits organizations. Captains Erickson-King's are credited for increasing The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign by $50,000 in two years, an outstanding achievement in a struggling economy. In May 2009, Captain Raymond obtained his Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA) in Nonprofit Management from Corban College and Graduate School in Salem, Oregon.

In addition to managing the business and social service management in The Salvation Army, Captain Erickson-King's primary responsibility is the spiritual ministry, which includes all church activities and the spiritual nurturing of all who come under the influence of The Salvation Army.

Captains Erickson-King last official duty is at The Salvation Army's Holiness (Worship) Service on Sunday, June 28, 2009 @ 11:00 AM. The Salvation Army is located at 1440 West 12th Street (corner of V and 12 Streets). The public is invited.

Transferring to Merced, California will be Captains Joel and Rhonda Harmon (pictured below) who are currently serving on the Marshall Islands in the South Pacific (Hawaiian and Pacific Islands Division). Their first public meeting and installation will be at The Salvation Army's Holiness (Worship) Service on Sunday, July 5, 2009 @ 11:00 AM. Major Wayne Froderberg will be conducting the installation. The public is invited.
